There are many people feeling anxious and uncertain just now. If you are a sensitive person you can feel these emotions as your own. Unconsciously you absorb negative energies like a sponge into your aura and you may feel more tired and stressed but not know why. Being empathic means you are highly sensitive to other people’s energies, places and nature. It is really important to know how to protect yourself as an empath.
If it’s a cold and rainy day you put on your rain jacket to protect yourself from getting wet, it’s just as important to put on your psychic jacket of protection to keep yourself in balance.
You know when you’re empathic when you start the day feeling great then come into contact with someone who is very stressed or showing signs of negativity. The energy you feel from this person may be fear and anger and it can affect you without you even realising it. By the end of your interaction with this person you come away feeling drained and exhausted.
You’ve taken that person’s thoughts and emotions on as your own. If this continues long term it can lead to burn out of your energy. All your positive energy has been literally sucked out of you.
As an empath loud noises and stressful environments can also affect you. Being sensitive is a gift but It is really important for you to find balance within yourself.
There are many ways you can do this and here are just a few, pick the ones that feel comfortable for you.
1) Nature -
Going out into nature is very healing and will have an instant clearing and uplifting affect on you.
You don’t have to feel energetically drained to do this, it is very beneficial to do it every day to keep your vibration high.
The healing power of nature is very real, the plants, trees and flowers have angels which surround them and when you are in nature you will feel their healing energy. Stand beside a tree and put your hand against the tree, trees are very good at absorbing negative energy, feel your energy being lifted.
Put your bare feet into the ocean, the salt water has a gentle and cleansing affect. If you can’t get to the beach, then put some Epom salts in a bucket of water and soak your feel for twenty minutes. This will have the same affect.
As much as you can get outside, put your bare feet on the ground, sit in your garden, have a walk in a park or forest and be near to the trees, flowers and plants, you will notice a difference from doing this daily.
2) Detach from Negative People -
Some people can unconsciously drain your energy. Cut off from these people and let them go from your life.
If it’s family or co-workers then keep your interactions with them short. Also when you are around negative people visualise white, pink or golden light surrounding you like a cocoon. By doing this any negative energy being directed at you will bounce off you.
Ask Archangel Michael, the archangel of courage and protection to be with you 24/7 and ask him to help you keep clear, firm boundaries with these people.
3) Use Crystals -
Crystals have protective, healing powers. Learn how to take care of them. Here are a few protection crystals that can help, choose a crystal that resonates with you. Often it’s the crystal that chooses you!
Rose Quartz - Helps self love, harmony, letting go of the past , soothes emotions and wounds.
Amethyst - Helps rebalance, protects, alleviates anxiety, fatigue and stress.
Haematite - It helps to give us courage, strength, endurance and vitality. It grounds and protects. It dissolves negative energy and prevents you from absorbing the negativity of others.
Black Tourmeline - It helps to cleanse the aura of negative thought patterns. It provides protection and elimination of negative energy.
Black Onyx - It helps to block psychic attacks , helps energy protection and dispels negativity.

4) Send love back -
Only what you give your power to can affect you. The best protection is prevention. Let go of the need to ‘fix others’. Establish firm boundaries with needy people. Let go of negative people from your life.
Send the negative energy back to the centre of the earth for transmutation, don’t send the energy back to the person or it will catapult back to you. Send love and light to negative people, places and situations.
